For unbounded mobility.

The air taxi is making its final approach.

Up close, the technology is just what we hoped it would be: an electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft – better known as an eVTOL – that can whisk us high above the street traffic and over to a rooftop or neighborhood vertiport. And it'll be here sooner than you think: air taxi startups plan to begin passenger trips as soon as 2024. Pretty cool.

Zoomed further out, we see something even more interesting: an affordable, carbon-free mobility network that connects the world like never before. Today we shuffle around our local areas like pieces stuck to The Game of Life; tomorrow we’ll move freely in three dimensions.

The implications of Advanced Air Mobility are broad and difficult to fully predict, but for starters, we will spend less time commuting and more time with the people we love. We’ll be able to connect more deeply with nature and our cherished communities, knowing that distance, mobility, and carbon emissions no longer constrain our quality of life. The world will open up in all sorts of new ways.

Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen once asked: “What should exist? To me, that's the most exciting question imaginable. What do we need that we don't have?"

We’re building Altaport for a future of unbounded mobility, by connecting people to their ground destinations all around the world. It’s what we think should exist, and we hope you’ll come along for the ride.

Pack light,
